Yeah, we know that climbing is the best way to get strong and keep fit. But, if you need that bit of extra training step into The Castle Gym. Combining weight training with climbing is a good way to balance muscle development and prevent injury. You can also use the machines to warm up before your session, to add an aerobic element to your training or for injury rehabilitation. Use of the gym is included in the price of your membership.

Meeting and Training Rooms
We have three function rooms that are used for climbing courses, meetings, massage therapy, osteopathic treatment and yoga. To find out more about hiring a meeting room at The Castle see Venue Hire.
Did you know that over a quarter of all journeys to the Castle are made by bicycle? To put it in perspective, the Mayor of London is aiming to have 5% of all London journeys made by bicycle by 2025. We offer secure bike parking within The Castle compound. Just wheel your bike through (don’t forget to check in at Reception!) and we’ll point you in the right direction. If your bike needs servicing we have an on-site bicycle repair workshop – Bikemech.
We have over 300 lockers available with £1 coin return locks. We also offer lockers for longer term hire to store your rope, harness, chalk and shoes. At the moment these are all taken, but keep your eye out for notices when they become available. Due to the high demand, we regret that we do not offer a waiting list for this service.
Showers, changing rooms
If you’ve got a hot date after your climb, fear not- we have showers and hair dryers in the men’s and women’s changing areas.
Baby Changing facilities
A baby changing table is located in the Accessible toilet on the ground floor near the bike park.
The ground floor of the Boiler House is fully accessible. An accessible toilet is located near the bike park. There are two steps to get into the shop- we’ll be happy to help you negotiate these. If you want anything from the Café just let Reception know and we’ll call in your order and bring it to you. The climbing activities are also available to everyone - if you’d like to find out more about climbing with a disability see our Accessible Climbing page.
In addition to climbing, Castle customers and staff include a number of artists. We offer two exhibit spaces along the main staircase for artists to display and sell their work. Exhibits change quarterly, so you’ll always see something new. If you’d like to exhibit your work please contact Sophie@castle-climbing.co.uk
