Dear climbers,
In order to keep our business viable we review our prices every year to ensure that our income stays in line with increasing costs. As with many other businesses we have felt the pinch for the last couple of years as our costs increase. However, if we can avoid passing this on to you we will and for 2012 I’m pleased to say that most of our prices will remain the same as the previous year. We have decided to increase the price very slightly on our Annual payment plan (£450 std/ £270 conc.) and our 20 visit bulk buy (£200 std/ £117 conc.). This will take effect from the 3rd of January 2012.

We are also going to offer a special introductory offer in January for customers wishing to take out a Direct Debit membership (£45 per month). If you take up a Direct Debit membership in January you will get 30% off your first month.
In the last year we have improved the services that we offer our customers by:

• increasing our opening hours;
• cooking fresh, homemade food for the café in our kitchen;
• changing boulder sets more frequently;
• revamping the bouldering areas and purchasing new holds and volumes;
• refurbishing The Castle Shop for a better customer experience.

In January 2012 customers will be able to use our improved Cave area (featuring ‘The Tsunami wall’) and gym facility (at no extra charge). Next summer, when the good weather returns (maybe), I hope that you’ll visit our permaculture garden where we grow food organically to serve in the café. We’re also progressing with our plans to further develop the climbing areas within The Castle and to convert this amazing Victorian building into a low-energy building.

As you can see, the money that we make is continually being reinvested into our facilities so that we can continue to give you great value for money.
