THE CASTLE  CAFÉ  IS LOOKING FOR an enthusiastic, staff member to join our fantastic team.

Is this you? Then we want to hear from you!

Written by Kornelija Langley - Route Setting Manager

We have recalibrated our bouldering grades! This means that the difficulty of the sets has not changed, but the grades we give the problems are different. Even the circuits are staying the same difficulty, although the tags will show changed grades.

The process behind this decision was a lot more involved than may be immediately apparent. Read on if you are curious about different grading systems, want to know why we use V grades and understand the reasons behind the recent changes.

This month's garden event is about taking some time to observe, be present, and connect with our playful, joyful, creative wild selves.

You'll discover self-led activities and workshops throughout the day, to restore calm and balance, and nurture wellbeing. These include:

- mindfulness in the garden activities

Anoushé Husain

Following our sponsorship announcement last week, this is the first installment in a series of blogs written by Anoushé Husain. Each blog has been thoughtfully written to inspire you - in this first blog Anoushé tackles body confidence and perceived barriers to entering sport.

Anoushé Husain

Big News! We’re really pleased to announce our sponsorship of Anoushé Husain. Anoushé is a regular at the wall and we’re really passionate about the message she’s promoting. Welcome to the team Anoushé!

A little bit about Anoushé… Born missing her right arm below the elbow, Anoushé has also experienced multiple health conditions throughout her life. Anoushé has drawn on her experiences to help empower and inspire others. She’s a charity ambassador, motivational speaker, works almost full time and somehow manages to squeeze in regular climbing sessions.
